I run track & I have no idea what to do with my hair.
Its CURLY & BIG & LONG (I'm african american with multiracial hair). I also have bangs, but are pretty long.
I've tried it down, but it got in my face. I've tried it half up, but it still gets in my face. I've tried a ponytail, but its too long so it gets in my face, so I do the UGLY bun thingy where its in a ponytail and I jus tuck it under the band. But the bad thing is, I'm always in the newspaper & last week I was on the news & I see it looks hideous!
I've tried looking at other girls' hair, but theirs is either fake, short or not my textured hair & they run long distance.
for your band, use those no-slip hair bands (the ones with the little black rubber peices on it). they hold really good. or use regular metal clips. plastic hairbands don't work at all. and then, bobby pins are always a user! [ theone's advice column | Ask theone A Question ]
luvbug555 answered Sunday May 18 2008, 4:24 pm: try a long braid in the back of your head. if that still gets in your face, try a ballet bun like the columnist below me said but part your hair to the side. goodluck! [ luvbug555's advice column | Ask luvbug555 A Question ]
yourstruly answered Sunday May 18 2008, 3:38 pm: I have thick curly frizzy hair so I do a ballet bun (ponytail-twist hair and wrap around then secure with another elastic) but with a little hair spray at the end to lock in any strands =) Hope I helped [ yourstruly's advice column | Ask yourstruly A Question ]
jobrolover3725 answered Sunday May 18 2008, 2:26 pm: try putting it in a ponytail and then using clips or a headband to clip the rest back. if it's so long that the actual ponytail part gets in your face there really is nothing else you can do except put it in a bun. or maybe try a braid. but if you have to do the bun then wear a cute headband or something with it to make it look cuter =] [ jobrolover3725's advice column | Ask jobrolover3725 A Question ]
