have an ademco alarm system, and every door and window in my house has it installed in it. if you open any of them and the alarm is on, it will go off or if it's not on it will just beep. i jus got my basement done and i don't feel like explaining the whole thing but i'm having some friends sleepover and we need to sneak out. the only thing is that there is an alarm on the basement door. there are 3 little windows in the basement with no alarm, but they won't open up far enough for people to fit through. if anyone knows how to make the alarm not work on the door without my parents knowing, could you help me? like maybe cut a wire or something, or maybe if theres even a way i could turn it off on one door. becasue i am home alone a lot and they probably wouldn't notice for a while and then tehy wouldn't know itw as me. please don't answer saying i shouldn't be sneaking out or i shouldn't be trying to break something in my house because i don't care, i'm in highschool and this is what i do. so if anyone knows how to make the alarm not work on just one door, please help me. thanks!

First open the door you want to use, and look at the keypad to see what number it is. you can use your alarm code to somehow bypass the basement door. Also, the beeping is "alert mode" and you can turn that off...but your parents would notice so if you did do that first figure out how then do it before you leave, but make sure to turn it back on when you get home. If it is too confusing, maybe your parents have an instruction manual somewhere for the alarm system. [ person43's advice column | Ask person43 A Question ]
