Planting Roses outside

Question Posted Thursday May 15 2008, 11:06 pm

15/f
i got roses from my boyfriend last week, and they are starting to die. I just now put sugar and salt in the vase with cool water, I read something that said that that works..But I want to plant the roses outside so they will stay alive a long time. Can I plant them since they are from a florist, and outside? If so what should I do to keep them alive outside??
thanks for any help you can give!

If they don't have roots and already are starting to die you cannot plant them outside. if you like roses, you can buy a rose bush and plant it in your yard. If you just want too keep them as a memory, you can dry them, by hanging them in dry area upside down. That way, they will keep some color and not rot and you can keep them for years.
