HI. im a teen and i get pimples like most people. i use proactive but if i use anything else, my face becomes really dry and starts to flake. i get more pimples around "my time". im a teen so i dont like pimples, especially in high school. i am going to the dermatologist in about 2 weeks for the first time.i sometimes get them on my neck to, sometimes. i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about what to do or anything i should know about what to expect when i go to the dermatologist. or any solutions until then. thank you who ever can help me!
I had a mild form of acne and I tried everything. If you leave your skin be and give it some time.. use something gentle as soap .. it may actually help your skin. I also stopped drinking soda and my skin improved so much. Eating healthier is good too. If you have oily hair, then use some baby powder to soak up the oils..
So many little things caused my skin to break out. Do you notice anything you do? Do you touch your face a lot? Do you sleep with your hand near your face and do you wash your pillowcase 1-2 times a week?
I eventually stoppped using products all together because my skin was too sensitive and it got better on it's own.
The birth control pill really does help tho. It clears up your face in time. When you reach nearly a year of use, your skin should be under control and you won't break out as much during that TOTM. [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]

A lot. So I'd use it every other day, definitely. But my dermatologist also told me, if your face is cleared up and you don't feel like taking the pill at that time then it'd be okay. But he said if you know when you're going to get your period and you don't want to get pimples around that time, start taking the pill a week before and it helps to prevent pimples. And it works. :] So the most I can say is, just wait for the dermatologist.
I've tried everything and the only thing that worked was the dermatologist. [ GhoulOnParade's advice column | Ask GhoulOnParade A Question ]

You know Neosporin or Polysporin that you use with bandaids on cuts? Well, if you apply some of that to your face every night, you will start to see your face somewhat clearing up =]
Also, what I suggest is putting some Eucerin Original Non-scented creme on the dry flaky parts of your skin for a few nights also. It really helps moisturize! Just make sure you don't mix the two products...like, don't put Neosporin and then Eucerin right on top of it. That wouldn't be good lol.
This is just to tide you over until the dermatologist! Hope it works (most likely will)! [ xlovexx463's advice column | Ask xlovexx463 A Question ]
