Question Posted Thursday May 15 2008, 4:10 pm

13/f...i'm in love with my best friend. it's tearing me apart. my ex-bestfriend recently broke up with her boyfriend, and everyone thinks the best friend i love is going to go out with her again, because theyy've recently been talking a lot and went out earlier this year for awhile. he makes me confused, and sends me mixed signels. but i really, really like him. what do i do?

To be honest, at your age chances are you don't know what love is.

If you're getting mixed signals, clear them up and confront the guy about it and ask. There's no harm if he says he doesn't like you because life does go on and there are plenty of fish in the sea. And if he says he likes you, then that's a good thing on your part but you shouldn't go out until the whole "ex-bestfriend recently breaking up with her boyfriend" situation blows over.

Hello,

I always advise people to spit it out. No good comes of keeping it in. Better to talk to him before he gets another girlfriend then after. And besides think of it this way; Right now you have nothing, so if you have nothing even after you tell him not much will have changed will it? So you won't be much worse off.
