Disorder or Excuse? I have known my friend for about 3 months now. She lives far from me. She is a very cool person. My husband and I are doing things like yard work and having picnics in the evenings. She calls me or texts me even though I tell her ahead of time I'm going to be busy. I also tell her on text and phone whenever she does this that I am busy and I'll talk to her tomorrow.
Also, I can't get on the computer at night to check my e-mail or look up stuff for my husband without her instant messaging me. I put up my away message "busy cant talk right now e-mail me
and I will get back with you asap" It just doesn't help.
She says she has a learning disorder. But, I have not seen any signs of one except her reading that she has one. She says her disorder is the reason she does things like this. Is there such a disorder? Is it just an excuse? What should I do to make her stop? Thanks Bunches

There are people with OCD
(Obsessive-compulsive disorder)
who might behave this way.
We have a user of this site
who writes us the same questions
over and over again. It can be
really irritating.
If she does have this disorder,
or something like it, there isn't
anything you can do to make her stop.
Its a mental disorder and sometimes
can be controlled with medication.
Unless she is someone you really
want to remain friends with you
will probably just have to stop
answering her calls all together.
You my have to go as far as changing
your phone number or IM sign-on.
She won't stop even if you are
rude to her.
If you want to remain friends
you'll have to simply ignore her
when you don't want to talk to her.
If you're like me, you feel bad for
a person like this. They can get
on your nerves and keep you on edge
constantly though. So don't feel
bad should you decide you don't
need that kind of tension in your
life. :) ]
