Your employer may also like what you're doing and eventually give a reference to someone else looking to hire you that makes all the difference. Stick in there and don't quit. You may not enjoy doing what you are doing but you're getting valuable experience and learning a lot of skills.
You're also developing character and not backing out when you encounter something hard or you don't like. Thank your friend and keep going. If after a few months you wish to move on than do it then but not now. She risked her reputation for you so you darn well better stick in there longer than this and gain all the experience you can from it good or bad.

You can either suck it up for the sake of your friend, or you can look out for yourself and say screw the job. I'd say like or not stick around for at least a few weeks, things might get better. Also, if you do plan on quitting, talk to your friend about it first and explain yourself. Otherwise it might just look like your in a sense spitting in their face for the effort they put out for getting you the job. [ Ice232's advice column | Ask Ice232 A Question ]
