yellow teeth quick fix?

Question Posted Friday April 25 2008, 7:37 pm

my prom is coming up and its probably impolite if i smile with my mouth closed.. but my teeth are crookedish and yellow! the crookedness is fine i guess but the yellow is unacceptable.

is there some way to get them whiter without whitening treatments? like white-out my teeth for one day or something?

i personally don't think that white strips work, and if you don't have the time or money to get them profesionally whitened then here is an at home thing you can do. this is what i started doing like 2 months ago everytime i brush my teeth and they are noticeably whiter. everytime you brush your teeth, put hydrogen peroxide on a q-tiop and spread it over your teeth. i just do my top front teeth because that's all you can see. i know it sounds gross and dangerous but on the bottle of hydrogen peroxide it says okay to gargle with so it is okay to spread it on your teeth. if you don't know what hydrogen peroxide is it is in a brown bottle and it's what you put on cuts and it burns on cuts. but you don't even taste it or feel it in your mouth it just makes them feel slimy. i've never tried gargling it but i just know don't swallow it. then right after you do that you wet your toothbrush and dip it baking soda (i put a lot of baking soda in a plastic bag and dip it in that ) so the toothbrush is coated with it. when it gets wet it is pasty like toothpaste. it tastes really salty and gross but just try not to taste it and brush your front teeth with that. then rinse your mouth out and your toothbrush and brush your teeth iwth normal toothpaste to get the taste out of your mouth. i used to do the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda everytime i brush my teeth, which is after everytime i eat (because i have braces) ,but then i just changed to brushing my teeth with normal toothpaste many times throughout the day and then at morning and night doing the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda too. and sometimes if i just felt like it was working i would do it more throughout the day also. and just brush your teeth a lot, it really works, like after everytime you eat and you probably won't even need the peroxide and baking soda, but i think that works also.

the only thing you could do is get white strips....or go get your teeth whitened by a dentist..but you should take care of your teeth from now on....don't want fake teeth at 40 do you?
