Well, I've been really close with a boy since 3rd grade, we are know in 10th, still best friends. All of my friends seem to think we would make the cutest couple in the world. Neither of us see it though. We talked about dating and such and we can see us together but it's kind of a weird spot for us. I look at him as my brother but this past weekend we had a dance and a girl was all over him, I felt like I was getting jealous but I shouldn't have been. Now, I literally was the one who got him to go, I texted him alllll night and finally convinced him to go but he spent no time with me, I felt neglected but it was okay, I was just happy he was there. I can trust him with my life and I'll tell him my problems and after say "thanks for listening and pretending to care" and he answers "i care, or else I wouldn't listen" my favorite from before was "I've been your friend since third grade, I'm not leaving any time soon" we text all the time, its great, hes someone i look forward to texting, he listens and cares. so, do you think he likes me? Let me start from the beginning. First it was two of my friends that started out close. *Lauren and Becky* well then a couple years later I join their little group in second grade. Then another person joins in in third , Ashley*. Well Ashley moved away and now we have a new friend name *Mika. Well than in eigth grade, *Jessie cam along and was obsessed with Becky. Like her little pet. Well now Mika* Is all around the older class and basically ignores us now. But now there is Lexi* and Dani*. I've noticed lately that my friends write on eachothers walls about how much they love eachother everyday and yet, I get none. NONE. I'm started to feel unloved but not just by my friends, but I'm starting to feel ugly. Sure they talk to me sometimes but I just dont know how they feel about me. I know they have changed since high school and maybe we are all starting to drift but I feel like I'm staying the same. I feel ugly because none of the guys at my school want to talk to me but just my friends. I'm starting to think my mom lied to me. She said I was the prettiest out of all my friends on which I can sometimes agree but then sometimes I strongly disagree. This may sound evil but I grabbed a photo of all my friends and did a yahoo question on which was cutest and I got most of them. But why am I like the only one without a guy around my arms? Starting to feel really left out,alone, and against the world. I'm a shy girl I guess I should admit. I just want a friend like on tv and a guy for me. Ugh. Sorry. This was mostly just a LONG rant about my life. But I would be happy if I did get on advice. (link)

i know exactly how you feel, something very similar happened to me freshman year of hs. except unlike you, i wasn't pretty like all my friends, and they started to leave me and started to hang out with older boys and i was never invited to be with them anymore. it really killed me, because i considered them my best best friends. by novemberish of that year, i just gave up and decided to just let it be and wait until something good happened to me, and stop trying to get them to like me again. so i was alone for a while, of course i had other friends but not the same as them. i was also very shy like you, but i can tell from what you've said thaty ou're probably pretty. then in january, i might my best friend and started hagning out with her.i realized that she was such a good friend, and a caring and selfless person. we're juniors now, and we're still bestbestbest friends. now about all the girls that ditched me, we eventually started hanging out again once they got over themselves, and i'm very close again with a few of them. but still, i would never consider them a true true friend again or completely trust them because of waht they did in 9th grade. freshman year is hard enough, it's even worse when your old friends start to leave you out. what i would recommend is just act like you don't care about them, because you shouldn't. things change sooo much throughout highschool, in 1 or 2 years or even less this problem will be way blown over and you won't be worrying about it at all. also just try to act really outgoing, THAT is probably the reason guys like them and not you. just talk and be involved in convos as much as you can (but don't be annoying) and guys will start to like you if your funny and outgoing. just ignore your mean friends and don't worry about them leaving you out, because it will change soon. try to hang out with other friends, and you can even meet guys through that. even if you don't have other girl friends right now, make them! or find the closest girl acquaintance or inschool friend you have, and ask her to hang out a few times. just remember, this will all get better..and i know how it feels, freshman year was the worst year of my life by far. just get through it..and talk to guys..and you'll end up being happier than your old friends that are leaving you out.

Almost a year ago I was feeling down and sad because I couldn't find the right guy. Relationship after relationship failed. I seemed to go for all the wrong guys; abusive, convicts (nothing against them), drunks, etc. So one day, out of despair, I came here and posted this:

Maybe you won't find him/her today or tomorrow or in 6 months but there's someone out there for everyone. And if you do find someone you think is worth keeping, HOLD ON! 18/f My bf is going away for a year and i was gonna make him a book with 365 reasons i love him one for every day but i need help of how to make it. Will i just buy a plain book and write on each page? Thats a bit plain. But i cant think of 365 ways to decorate each page :S And will i write in in my own handwriting? Also a bit lame. 365 days..and 365 pages of a book..would be an EXTREMELY long time. do you even have that many pictures or things to put on the pages? do you even have a book that long or the time? I would do a 12 page book with once a month a few pictures, decorations pertaining to that month, and why you love him. I made a calendar online with pictures of me and him for each month and you can decorate it and stuff. on acme.com.

I would just, calmly, go to the emergency room. Your not going to die or anything, but you do need to get it checked out as soon as you can. I don't think it's necessary to call 911. I think it means you have internal bleeding.

I'm 16 and I've never had a boyfriend.I don't think I'm that bad looking.I'm about 5'5 ,brown hair,kinda tan,hazel eyes,etc.you know,..average looking.For some reason,guys begin to talk to me and then after a few weeks ,they just either hate me or stop talking to me completely.It's happend with every guy i've ever talked to.One guy used me to hookup for three years,he now has a girlfriend and won't even accept my friend request on facebook,one guy told me he only sees me as a friend (after "talking talking" for like 3 monthes) the next guy told me i'm annoying with my friends and that im a slut (even though i didnt even kiss him),the next guy is a complete nerd and we kissed ONE time and then he hasn't talked to me since and we talked for a few weeks before that and he tries to get all my friends now?I don't know what to do.The most recent one was the nerd kid ,and I'm WAYYYY out of his league and i actually really liked him and i felt i could be myself around him and then he just stopped talking to me and tries talking to really pretty girls ,thinking he can hookup with them and not saying a word to me.I think he built a confidence wall after I kissed him the other night,since he hasnt kissed anyone since 8th grade! There's another guy who is talking to me,but I don't even know if I should give it a shot because im sick of just getting let down ! why is this happening to only me! all of my friends have boyfriends !

GIRL I FEEL YOU! i am the EXACT same way as you..except i barely even 'talk' to guys for that longgg. i honestly feel depressed everyday because i'm alone and i think something is wrong with me because it never works out for me to have a boy. like something ALWAYS goes wrong and im so sick of it. i dont handle it the right way though i just feel depressed and i drink a lot..ha i kinda need help too. but just know its NOT YOUR FAULT. like honestly NOTHING is wrong with you it just so happens that it never works out, but everything happens for a reason. just keep thinking thatt. i just answered this question to tell you your not the only one haha. let me know what happens thoughh ! you can inbox me.

i learned this from someone once but i forget where..when your making out with someone grab the back of their neck (cause guys are sensitive there) and gently claw it. everytime i've tried it every boy has LOVED it, they get SO much more into it when i do it. just don't like scratch them or anything..be gentle. another thing is suck on their bottom lip.

hi im 16, a boy.
there is this really...reallly attractive girl who sits in front of me in class. I mean, the first thing i noticed was her body, which is really nice, she looks like...wow. i cant even say, she looks amazing. For some reason, this girl seems like the kind that i dont wanna give up on.
We never talked before, we only like look at each other once in a while. But i have no idea what she thinks. What does she think? How should i approach her? There is homecoming dance pretty soon btw.

start by asking for help on stuff your doing in class or be like did you do the homework? or ready for this test today? then while your talking you can just bring up other random stuff and before you know it, you guys will be talking in class everyday. it happens all the time. and it is especially easy because she sits right in front of you, meaning it's not like you have to get up and walk across the whole class just to ask her about homework or something. because what i usually do is end up asking the people that sit around me in class for help so thats a really good excuse.

Alright well my boyfriend is having a party this weekend and it is going to be huge! He invited a lot of the school and even some of the people i don't like is going to be there. I have some problems though...
1. I can't go because i am sick and its outside and i have a bad cough.
2. The girl that likes him is going and she always flirts with him and i am scared she will do that there. They are friends but she likes him lots.
3. There will be alcohol and drugs there and he dosen't do drugs but he does drink occasionaly. I am scared he will get drunk because i'm not there and do something bad. I don't want him to cheat on me! Last time he had a party we werent going out and he made out with this girl and didn't even realize who it was. He hooked up with her and didn't even like her.
4. Another reason i probably wouldn't go is because i have never drank in my life or done any kind of drugs and i would be the only one at the party not doing anything. Everybpdy tells me i should but i'm not doing that.
I just hope he dosen't do anything like this or flirt with other girls or hook up. I know i should trust him and i do but you never can tell because he might get drunk and not realize it. It's not my decision to tell him to drink or not, that's up to him. What should i do? thanks! (link)

usuallly for a little while after my period i''ll randomly get like brown spots in my underwear and my doctor told me it was leftover dried up blood coming out from your period after it ends, and it can last like 1-2 weeks after your period.

my parents are high school sweethearts. they were eachothers first real relationships, when my mom was 14 and dad was 15. they went to different colleges but stayed together. they never had any big problems in their relationship and have never been with other people. they have now been married for 20 years and looks like it's going to be more. the only time they ever had a problem was when my dad went to college because they thought it wouldn't work they broke up, but they couldn't take it so they got back together and haven't broken up since. they have 3 kids(including me) and are happy. lost virginity to eachother too.

I'm a freshman, about to start my second semester of Community College. I'm really average.. my GPA is about 2.9, and I've been studying psychology and literature and stuff. Recently, I've really figured out what I REALLY want to do as far as a career goes.
I want to be a cinematographer so bad. I'm SUCH a film buff, and I've taken only one film analysis class and I excelled at it. Everytime I like a movie, I always watch it again with the commentary on it to learn about the director's ideas and discoveries.
Are there opportunities to pursue this carreer path at a mere community college?? What kinds of classes should I be looking for? How can I really get started?

apply middle-semester to a university with cinematography as one of it's main points. since you have an average GPA, send in applications to all the cinematography-based colleges that you can find, and act really passionate about it when you are applying (if you have to write an essay or talk to them or make a movie or something) and chances are you will get into ATLEAST one. my mom transferred from community college to a university late and ended up getting a master's degree in teaching. all you have to do is want it really bad and work really hard on your school work, because your goal would probably only work well and leave you with a good career if you transfer to a university with cinematography as one if it's strong points.

if there was blood INSIDE your feces, you could have internal bleeding. if your young, tell your parents and if they feel they feel the need ,which they probably should, they will take you to a doctor. if your an adult, go see a doctor. it's not a huge deal, it's not like your dying or anything, it's just being safe and getting checked. it never hurts to get a check up on anything that might be wrong, it's better to fix it earlier and it's better safe than sorry. just call a doctor.

I'm extremely behind in my studies, my exams are just around the corner, and I don't have any motivation to study. I've tried many things to stay motivated , but nothing works.
I'm also extremely slow.When i have off, and do study, i wind up spending the whole day having studied just one lecture. With this rate , I'm not going to be able to pass the year. I've alreay lost many years due to switching majors, so I really don't need to lose anymore.
I think my problem is that anything ,and I mean anything distracts me. Say i'm studying. Then after a while, i'll stop studying and just stare at the page and re-read the lines over and over without actually absorbing what I've read. I even just stop studying for long periods of time so that I can sleep longer or eat more.
My questions are, what should I do to stay motivated to study ? What should I do to stop staring at the pages ? How can I quit getting distracted so easily and avoid sleeping so much?

i have the exact same problem. i know it is very hard to deal with, but it's possible. what i do to focus on what i'm reading and not just 'read' it without even thinking about it, is find something within the text that would interest you. no matter how boring it is, there is still something in there that could make you interested.read the first sentence and then say to yourself, hmm, i wonder what's going to happen now? or what's going to be next? then read the next line and try to interest yourself in the text, no matter how boring it is it is always possible to find SOMETHING in there that you will make you want to read even the slightest bit, because that's all you need.For example, (this might be stupid and not make sense, it's off the top of my head) if your studying for history, and the first line is: King Henry VII was born on June 23, 1495. Think to yourself, hmm, i wonder how long he lived and what he did his whole life? then continue reading and eventually you will forget that you were bored with it /not interested. also, no matter how long the text looks, don't get overwhelmed because everyone reads faster than they realize. hope i helped you, because i know EXACTLY what you are talking about!

First off I'm in the 11th grade and we are doing an assignment where we find a song that represents our generation. I'm sort of stuck between two songs:

What we've been doing in class is learning about the Harlem Renaissance and listening to Rap and Jazz music that's about protesting, racism/discrimination, and police brutality. omg that's so weird..becuase the bottom one i had on my christmas list but just yesterday it got sold out so i changed it to the top one..haha thats so weird. but if your wondering where you can get them the top one is from wet seal. and the bottom one is from pac sun obviously but it's sold out online.
