First off I'm in the 11th grade and we are doing an assignment where we find a song that represents our generation. I'm sort of stuck between two songs:
Me Against The World by Simple Plan
Welcome to My Life by Simple Plan
What we've been doing in class is learning about the Harlem Renaissance and listening to Rap and Jazz music that's about protesting, racism/discrimination, and police brutality. So anyone know which song I should do? If you have other suggestions that would be nice, I mostly listen to Rock,Punk Rock, and Alternative Rock.
Additional info, added Saturday December 20 2008, 11:43 am: OH! I made a mistake there. I meant to put what our generation means to us individually. That's the reason for those two songs I have as my choice.. Want to answer more questions in the Work & School category? - Crazy by Simple Plan
- Waiting on the World to Change by John Mayer
- Wake Up America by Miley Cyrus
- Gotta Be Somebody by Nickelback
... I think your two choices are very good.
What would be really cool is if you made a music video to the songs telling a little bit of your life in them. And you can combine both of the songs like in a remix. It's definitely something different. [ forgetregrets's advice column | Ask forgetregrets A Question ]
