how to react to guys

I sometimes get cat calls, or get honked at or looked at. i was wondering, what is the best way to react to it? I always just keep walking, pretending i didn't hear it. I don't get flattered by any of this because i know guys would do this to any girl they see pass by...right? how do you usually react when this happens to you? am i reacting the way they want me to?

Coming from a guy's view, most of them today, excuse the expression, but are "A-holes". Guys today will do anything to get a girls attension, even if it has to be dirty like the honking and staring you up and down. The best and most mature thing to do is ignore it. If you want to get back at him or them, nothing is more brutal to a guy than having a girl embarrass him in public with an insult, especially in front of his friends and alot of people.

This is very interesting,I get honked at all the time. What I do is complete ignorance and/or say that I'm a lesbian and all that if I want to avoid someone. I always carry a knife with me but I don't suggest you do that cause you're 15 and I'm 18 and there's a difference in that. No, don't be flattered.Be flattered when someone of stance or someone important to you honks at you and says you're pretty. If you get honked at all the time than that means that you dress and/or act easy. If you get honked at not so much than that means you're fine. And what do you mean "am i reacting the way they want me to?" Do you really care that much of their opinion cause if you really wanted to react the way they wanted you to than you would have looong lost your purity... if you have it now I mean.

Well most f the guys who do cat calls are old and/or ugly...
Ignore them. Don't respond and don't smile or wave. That will only make them think you are interested and they can start harrasing you and be annoying Or dangerous. Don't fliP them off or say mean things either because they can get pissed off and become dangerous.
If a guy whsitles or honks, ignore them. HOWEVER, if you're walking alone and a car has one or more guys and stops to talk to you, not only should you ignore them but get our your cell phone and call someone - ANYONE and walk faway from the car as fast as possible, perferably to some place where there is people. That way they will see you are NOT interested and get scared you might call the police if they try something.
Cat calls are one thing but be careful because there are a lot of perverts out there that want to do more than give you a cat call.

That happens to me alll the time. Just ignore it, or give a slight smile if you don't want to be rude. But don't act immature and giggle because this may give guys the wrong idea that you like it. It will seem like wanted attention. DON'T however, say something rude back because this could upset them. You never know how strangers will react. They could have bad tempers or do something to harm you.. you never know.

I think it depends on the situation, and what you're comfortable with. As for me, if it seems kind of creepy at all, I'll just ignore it. But if seems innocent (and if the guy's kinda cute!), I might smile or laugh or even wave. But either way, I think you *should* feel flattered by it. Guys don't usually honk at just anyone... they honk at girls they think are cute. So however you choose to react, go ahead and enjoy it! =]
