Jeanne answered Thursday April 24 2008, 1:38 am: Hmmm... well, when you start going out with someone, it's sort of like making a contract that you're going to be faithful to one another. If your boyfriend has cheated on you, then technically, he's already broken up with you... because he broke that contract. So go ahead and tell him that. You can tell him, "When you made the choice to be with that other girl, you were also choosing not to be with me. So it looks like it's over between us." And if he asks, "Are you breaking up with me?", you can say, "No, you already broke up with me when you cheated on me. I just didn't realize it until now, but you made the choice, and it's over." mikesadvice answered Wednesday April 23 2008, 2:07 pm: I just answered a similar question.
Let me tell you this story. I have this sister in law. She had this husband who was mean to her. Every time they would get into this huge fight she would leave and say she wasn't going back. Well she started missing him, he would call and apologize and she would go back. This went on for 15 years. REALLY!! Well finally it all stopped because he died. She stayed in this realationship simply because she felt sorry for him.
THIS MAKES ME SICK. GET A GRIP! HOW CAN YOU DEAL WITH THIS! MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME CHILDREN AND THEN HE COULD BEAT THEM INSTEAD OF YOU!
LOOK AROUND YOU. IS THIS THE BEST YOU CAN DO? NO WAY, AND BEING HOOKED UP WITH A LOSER MAKES YOUR FRIENDS ILL ALSO. AND TALK ABOUT CRYING, YOU SHOULD CRY FOR LETTING IT GO ON THIS LONG. [ mikesadvice's advice column | Ask mikesadvice A Question ]
Maddieeeee answered Wednesday April 23 2008, 1:53 pm: It's kind of dumb to get HIM to break up with YOU because thats basically doing it yourself, but in different terms.
But...
You can becaome very very very picky and really clingy. Guys really don't like that.
You can also be snobby and talk about him to his friends behind his back (not cheating, just flirting or something like that)
You can act really mad at him or pretend to get really really jealous over a girl hes simply talking to or something like that you know?
Guys like low maintence girls, so become the opposite, only to him. He'll soon get the picture.
goddess_of_love921 answered Wednesday April 23 2008, 10:21 am: Well, make him break up w/ you, be a HORRIBLE girlfriend to him. No, don't do that, i am just kidding, well, if he has a cell phone you could leave a voicemail, or you could think of all the BAD things he does to you, and then that will give you the will power to do what you need to do, i no excatly how you feel me boyfriend use to be like that, but i talk to him about it, we took a 2 day break from each other, and now we are perfct together. thelaura answered Wednesday April 23 2008, 10:18 am: Do it over the phone then.
All jokes aside, seriously, why would you want him to dump you?
You crying in front of him is the least of your worries.
Don't cheat - you'll be stooping to his level.
He's lucky you didn't get shot of him long ago for cheating.
You CAN break up with him. and you will. Just make it quick and tell it so he can't ask many questions. "I don't want a relationship right now. I'm sorry"
That's it. Not hard.
and what I said about joking earlier? I just realized he deserves it. Heck, even do it by txt if you have to. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
