The Whiskey Rebellion

Question Posted Monday April 21 2008, 9:49 pm

Tomorrow at school i have a test in history. My last question is an essay; it is about the whiskey rebellion. My question is that when all the farmers got mad and burned down buildings and attacked the tax collectors what did George Washington do. I know he had a part in there, it said he gathered a militia of about 13,000 troops. What did he do with them; did he try to stop te farmers. If you can help me with this question or even give me some more information i didn't touch on please do. By the way i do not want any listed websites, thanks in advance

george washington led them to stop the rebellion. he was very respected so once the farmers heard that he was coming with a bunch of men the pretty much surrendered...we just had that test like a month ago..ugh lol
