helloxdear13 answered Saturday April 19 2008, 4:43 pm: I think you are talking about when there are complications with getting a baby out vaginally so they need to cut the baby out of the mother. Its a Cesarian (sp?) section I believe, I was one. Normally the baby is too big to come out of the vaginal canal. In other cases, the parent has an STD that may truly harm a vaginally birthed child.
