sooo confuse and fustrating!!!!!!!!dont kno wat to do

Well i like this boy alot i mean alot and like he knows that i like him and he likes me to but only as a freind. But like i have a class with him and stuff and sometimes he be flirting with me and like im a very shy person andi heard that if u like a guy and he flirts with you, you should flirt with him back but if he dont then thats justt throws them off. But i just cant flirt back with him and i try to talk to him and stuff but i cant because its just to hard. And also i found out there is like two other gurls that like him which is gonna be harder for me. What should i do? How can i talk to hima and how can i flirt back?

If he knows about the two other girls that like him ask him about them.. be like "Hey i heard these people like you what do you think?" and base what you do off your answer. Or you can flat out tell him listen I really like you maybe we can go out on a date sometime just to see what happens
