Search for 'Picnik' in the search bar located on the left side of the screen. It should come up on the search results. It should also say 'Add Application', so click that to add it.
Take a look at that and the FAQ, they will help you out a lot.
The Bumper Stickers, and Compare Friends are applications. Facebook did not develop these, they just have them on their website. The purpose of these applications is to enhance your Facebook experience to make it more enjoyable.
* Bumper Stickers - Pointless, small, witty graphics that appear on your profile. [Live, Laugh, Love written in cursive, cute text] [Cute graphic with couple kissing] Once you add an application, it appears on your profile. You can give your friends bumper stickers by browsing through their selection, or you may also receive bumper stickers from those who have added the application as well.
* Poke - Poking people is just a pointless way to get their attention. If you are poked, there will be a little thing that comes up right above your name and your status that says 'You have been poked by [Friend's Name]' or something along those lines, and you can choose whether to poke back or to reject it.
* Compare People - Another pointless application that is extremely annoying.. it sends tons of notifications every day, and you have to go and manually disable it. It's just a fun way to pass time. Once you start up the application, you will be given a statement:
'Who is a better singer?'
[Friend 1] [Friend 2]
You click on which one you think is the better singer.
My favorite application on Facebook is Picnik. You can do so much to your pictures and they turn out looking great. You can fix blemishes, whiten teeth, add hearts, make the picture brighter, rotate it, resize it, add text, add borders, add tints, there are so many things that you can do. I love taking a plain picture and turning it into a 'masterpiece' lol..
I'm sure that you have noticed that Facebook is very plain, aside from Myspace, it does not have a background, and you cannot add your own layout. Personally, I like it that way. On Myspace, people put up flashing backgrounds and millions of icons so it's hard to read. Facebook is also known for being ahead in the security department. You have the option of setting your picture to a default question mark type of thing if people look you up.
Facebook is much more organized and neat. If you are hosting a party, you can create an event, and fill in all of the information and send out invites to all of your friends. Information gets out very quickly, also, so be careful not to put your phone number or your address unless you are absolutely sure that you're secure.

Otherwise its kinda hard to explain some of the applications on Facebook, except for things you described. I never heard of the bumper stickers. "Pokes" are basically there to let you know those people are in your friends list or just to annoy you. Comparing friends is an application you add to take quizzes so you can "compare" results with your friends.
