is it worse for you or the same to eat all your calorie allowances at one time in the evening?

I agree with the other 2 people. You definitely need to eat throughout the day. Surprisingly, breakfast is important too. Eating even somethign small in the morning will kick-start your metabolism, and make it burn more calories than if you didn't eat. I'm pretty sure alot of diets recommend you eat like 5-6 small meals a day. This keeps yoru metabolism going. I'm not saying you have to eat this many, but that one meal isn't good for you at all.

It isn't a good idea to eat all your food in the evening because eating meals thorughout the day helps keep your metabolism running. Eating at the beginning of the day provides energy for your body to run off of. Also, it's not a good idea to eat too late at night because this can cause problems for your stomach when you try to sleep. Also, your body doesn't have time to burn off all the calories you are intaking, which causes the food to turn to fat.

It's worse. Eating each meal helps keep your metabolism going. By eating all that at once, you're likelier to gain weight because it's being stored as fat.
