okay so at the end of the year i dont know if we are having an actual graduation or a banquet.
so my questions are:
what exactly is a banquet?
and
what do you wear to a banquet?

Well my high school holds banquets for athletes at the end of our seasons. For us it's usually just a nice dinner and stuff.
Then again, our banquet for Varsity basketball is just going to be pizza, soda, cake, and kind of an awards ceremony type of thing, for players and coaches only, though.
I guess if it's a banquet rather than a graduation then it's going to be some kind of simple food, maybe award-ish stuff, kind of like a grad party held by the school.
If you're already a girly-girl, then you could get away with wearing a skirt or a cute dress (Target, Maurices, American Eagle, etc all have cute dresses) or if you're not usually a girly girl (or if you are) you can wear a cute skirt and top.
Why don't you just ask your friends what they're wearing? It may work out better so you're not the only one dressed up or dressed down.
