Lifeguarding is a great summer job, I've been doing it for the last six years and I love every bit of it. Whether you personally enjoy it or not really depends on the environment you are working in. Otherwise, it is pretty nice to spend your summer getting paid to be outside and sit around a pool all day.

Positives:
-working outside
-usually good paycheck
-you learn how to save lives
-you are given lots of responsibility
-you meet/talk to many different people

Negatives:
-you have to be very alert and not get distracted
-depending on the pool you work at, there can be a lot of down time with no one swimming (this can also be a positive though)

Hope this helps! I have a lot of experience with lifeguarding so let me know if you have any other questions.
