okay so my one of my best friends is really emo. and my other friends are really preppy and they hate her. they always tell me not to be her friend, but i can't just stop being her friend just because she's emo. so what should i do?? Help!!

if you want to be her friend than be her friend don't stop just because they tell you to but if you don't want to be her friend than don't be her friend. or maybe you don't want to be your preppy girls friend. find your grounds and see where you stand.
also you are so righ by not doing what they tell you just because they tell you to do it.

Tell your other friends to shove it. Okay, maybe don't be that harsh, but tell them that it is up to you to chose your friends, and if you want to be friends with her, you can and WILL be. They cannot tell you who to be friends with, period.
If they say you can't be their friend anymore, well then that just goes to show you that they are terrible friends anyway ;]
