dying my hair over highlights

i just got bright red highlights in my hair and i dont like it at all. would it be okay to dye over it with like a dark brown?

You should read the box the dye comes in to see if it says anything on dying it with highlights in your hair.I would say it's fine since the high lights are a red color and not a blonde color because blonde highlights can sometimes ruin hair if their dyed over.I would maybe suggest going to get your hair professionally done at a hair salon to see what the hairdresser thinks you should do.

im not exactly sure, but if you want to ask a hairdresser you should! because you dont want our opinions and fuck up your hair .
