so i'm getting mine done for my 14th birthday. cute i know. okay so can anyone tell me how bad it hurts in comparison to getting your cartilage on your ear pierced, cuz i got that done and it wasn't bad at all.

M0DERNDAYBARBiE answered Friday March 21 2008, 3:00 pm: i got mine done in septmeber, and my catilage done in january, and really its not bad. the only part that kind of hurts is when they put the clamp on your skin to kind of numb the area. and that part is just like someone pinching you. the cartilage piercing takes a shorter time, but you don't even feel the needle going in when you get your bellybutton pierced because they tell you to take a deep breath before sticking the needle in, and then you breathe out as they are pushing it in, you can't even feel it really. its a fun feeling lol i hope everything goes okay (: i love mine, and after like a month you can twirl it and it doesn't even hurt anymore.
ellegirl606 answered Wednesday March 19 2008, 11:46 pm: The only thing that actually HURTS when you get your navel pierced is the clamps. It's a very harddd pinch that'll be held for like 30 seconds. When they thread the needle through, it feels UNCOMFORTABLE, but does not actually hurt. It's no comparison to the clamps so you might not even feel it going through.
To answer your question, cartilage piercing hurts WAY worse than your belly button. Trust me. But you have to be extremely careful not to knock your navel ring around because it basically rips the hole slightly and stings! [ ellegirl606's advice column | Ask ellegirl606 A Question ]
