Contrary to popular belief, cutters do not ALWAYS cut for blood. If someone is just scratching themselves, it should still be considered a problem. It all causes the same endorphins to be released, and generally gets the same reaction--something like a high, fear, releasing pain, etc.
If someone is doing this, make sure you find them some help.
cloudy_conscience answered Saturday March 15 2008, 2:59 pm: Slitting your wrists is defined more as an clear act of suicide, but cutting is the beginning. I don't think there is a way to cut without bleeding though, because most people cut for the blood. I guess it could be considered slitting your wrists if looked at closely.
