If you are talking about long distance running, try to maintain a steady pace and breathing rate. I try to think of a song in my head and run to the beat.

You should run heel to toe. Make sure you are wearing the proper shoes that will support your feet. For example, if you have high arches, you need a certain shoe to support your feet correctly so you don't get injured or feel pain. Also, make sure you are using your arms and not dangling them at your sides. Your arms are what propel you; your legs are just going along for the ride.

Most importantly, ASK YOUR COACH! Coaches LOVE that (when people come up to them)... that's what they're there for. They will like you a lot more and will actually know your name!! Good luck!

i run track too. so i breathe in through my nose and then breathe out through my mouth.

when running just relax your body...i know its hard to when you have all that addrenaline rushing through your body but if you relax then your footwork will work out on its own.
hope i helped.
