boyfriend again.

Question Posted Friday March 14 2008, 5:31 am

ok. my bf and i recentllly broke up. I don't like hurting him, but I had to. But he promised me he would never date the chick he is now. I think he's doing it to make me jelous. What do you think? I meaan, I GREATLY appriciate the girl coming to me asking my opion, and I told her to go for it. Then I said no, cuz he would hurt her like he did me. ( this guy grabbed me by the throght, very aggresive, and is now threatining to hurt me and my best friend.) So OF COURSE I don't want her going out with him. I mean HELLO! Domestic violence!!! Not to mention, I lost my virginity to this guy. Bu I mean, one of my friends told me, that, I moved on, he can to. So I told his new gf, go for it. So she did. Then I herd that he was ganna hurt me and my friend ( trust me, I have a good enough reason to belive it). So I told her, cause I don't want them to break up, and for him to go psyco on her. ( he's done it to more than one ex gf.) ( which te''s you what?) So how do I help her, and more importantly, how do I transfer some of that jelousy into love for my new bf? Cause last night we just said I love you, and it's really hard ya kno? I don't know what to do.

With your new boyfriend, please do NOT have sex to get closer with him!!!! I don't care if you do it later, but listen, if it's hard enough for you to tell him you love him, then I don't think having sex with him is any better, nor with it make the situation better. Your relationship might turn into a relationship based on sex. Also, if it was hard for you to say you loved him, then maybe you aren't ready to say that yet, or ready to even be with a new guy. You should take it slow and just talk for now, or maybe you should take some time off and be single for a second until you can sort out your feelings first.

If you've told the new girlfriend about his violent tendencies, it's up to her whether or not to make the right choice. You've let her know and that's enough. It's up to her now to make the decision.

P.S. That's very noble of you to give that girl a heads up, even if she's the new girlfriend of your ex, lol.

I think that the only thing you can really do for this girl is just tell her what happened to you and what he did to you. maybe even go to the counsler. if she decides to stay with him...then oh well. you tried and you can't do anything more. as for you moving on if you really care for the guy your with now, maybe you guys should have sex so you feel more connected with him. also just stop caring about you ex. just be like whatever when you see him. pay more attention to your new boyfriend and show him that you care a lot about him. all you really can do to like your current boyfriend is to just spend time with him.

Also, you guys may want to spend more 1 on 1 time so you can connect without having outher people their to say don't say that or w/e. Maybe, tell him a secret so you guys know something about each other that no one else knows.
good luck

hope i helped!
