Okay, so I started my diet on around Tuesday, and what I'm doing is cutting out unhealthy snacks and substituting them with like healthier ones. and now I'm also starting to run with my brother. I have a habit of going on diets and then stopping them as soon as I lose a few pounds but I want to do something that will keep me on track and ENJOYING the diet, not doing it because I need to and want to and because it seems like one extra chore.
what are some more good ways to lose weight healthy and affectively?
by the way I'm 15, 5'2 and around 180 pounds (overweight for my height) so this diet needs to work.
thanks in advance!

Volleyball2150 answered Friday March 7 2008, 1:39 pm: playing sports really helps your endurance. Soccer especially because since the field is so long and you have to run with the ball. Track and Field is also a really good sport that uses a lot of endurance because you're running a lot, and also like Long Jump and Hurdles uses a lot of your leg muscles. Beach volleyball is also really good for you because jumping in sand is A LOT harder than jumping on an indoor court. So it takes muscle to do that. Or if you suck at volleyball, you can run on the beach. Because running in sand is a lot harder than running on a normal surface. Biking is also very good. Find an area that has hills (not too steep) so that when you go up, it works you out, but when you go down you can get a nice breeze and cool down. Tennis is also a good sport.
If you're not much of a sports person, you can go to the gym and work out (signing up for a personal trainer is the best idea, if you don't know how to work out properly) Or if you have a trampoline, just jump on it for hours because it helps your muscles too.
If you don't like any of these ideas, go on my advice column and there's a link by my info that says my workouts. Click on that and I have a bunch of workouts you can do at home.
