Getting mom something special My mom's birthday is soon and I want to get her something special. we've became really close so i want something with a meaning to it.
I am a bit low on money although i have my christmas money which i could spend but I don't want to spend it out.
She likes household stuff and jewelry. I could buy her a pair of earrings or a chain but i could also make something.
Is there anything I can make that will make her happy and that she can keep for a lifetime but will cost me not much?

I would have to say that the best present I ever gave my mother was a scrapbook of photos. My grandmother died a few years ago from cancer and she really misses her. I found a bunch of photos of my grandmother and put a scrapbook together. I also put a nice poem in the front of the scrapbook that made her cry in a good way. Ebay.com has some really good, expensive looking jewelry thats really cheap. Though you have to have some form of account or credit card to purchase from ebay. ]
What about a hollow book?
I made my mom one and I put all of her favorite pictures and trinkets inside. I decorated it all nice for her and she loved it!
You can get really creative without it costing too much. Go to Salvation Army or JoAnn's for really cheap craft supplies.
Here is how to make it:
