im looking at an architecture school in San Diego, CA. and i was wondering if there was anybody who lives in San Diego and knows about life in the area. like crime, earth quakes quality of the housing. mainly in the art district.
The crime in San Diego is not as high as it is in LA, but there is a little bit of crime that still goes on. Life in that area is great, the weather is wonderful, and there's just a lot of things that you can do. You will see a lot of Hispanic people. Huge earthquakes are not very common, there will be some smaller ones. The room will start to shake a little, and you'll definitely feel it. It's nothing major though. Center Cali is where most of the Earthquakes occur. The mortgage of homes are VERY expensive. A house here in the Midwest for about $100,000 would be $350,000 there.
If you are really looking forward to going to that school in San Diego, I say go for it, if you are up for some hard work. I would say that SD is more of a vacation spot than a living space for 1 person. [ Sima's advice column | Ask Sima A Question ]
