~get a couple songs going for your band to be
~have a place for rehersal
~ask around-ask you friends, teachers, family, neighbors, etc if they know anyone looking to be in a band, or can play (name of instrument)
~put up flyers asking for people to come to a certain place at a certain time for an audition...or to contact you at (number)
~if you have an audition, bring a friend or two with you, and set standards as to what you are looking for
~at the audition, have then sing a certain song or something...make a plan as to what they have to do.
^i imagine you are going to want to name your band :-] so i found a website of a bunch of unused bandnames (so far unused) or you could get some ideas from it!
GoOd LuCk!!!
ps
let me know how it all goes! and you might want to make a myspace of your band and put it on you tube and go out for auditionings, and play at local restaurants, or just have demos out on the sidewalks...you can even make a concert in your neighborhood (free of charge if you want a lot of people) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

Also after you get your band together look for a studio where you can shoow a music director what yout band can do.
