painters have like different periods like the blue period is depression and sadness and stuff. but is the red period when they're happy or angry?

red is usually like anger, but blue can also mean like they're content, not necessarily sad.

Blue = Depression/Sadness [as you stated]
Green = [most likely] Envy
Yellow = Happy, Joyful
That's really all I can think of, but red is commonly placed under the 'angry' category.
