Question Posted Friday February 15 2008, 7:31 pm

help!

seriously i have a bad binge eating habit! i tired everything! so please spare me unless its something i haven't listed:

here are the things i tried:

A)going to the gym (i still go so i could maintain my strength to help around the house)
B)going to my school psychologist who told me to:
1)not deprive myself
2)keeping food available so i don't feel deprived
3)not keeping food so i don't snack (after the previous failed)
4)buy small plates to control portions
5) go for a walk
6)think of happiness when i feel a food attack coming on
7)surround myself w/ people
8)buy healthy food
9) only keep fruits and veggies at home...etc

i have such a serious problem! and plus i have depression (clinical) that is partially caused by family issues and so forth (which i cannot change so please spare me that stuff about leaving or think positive) anyway so i eat more because of it since we can't afford to buy my medication all the time

anyway i was wondering if there are any semi-safe pills or something that i could eat to curb my cravings?????? pleaseee i neeed it because i can hover everything and i meannnnn EVERYTHING! that is infront of me... the other day i finished 2 pizzas.... boxes that is .... i couldn't stop! its draining my wallet as well!

i went to doctors and everything and they said it is caused by the depression and coz i have so many chores and stuff to do (we're poor so i can't afford to not do that)

i'm 160 and 5'4

Some people eat just because they are bored. When i am bored, i know i like to eat, but what i did to get rid of that habit was i started running and dancing. It was so much fun, i didnt even think about eating until after when i was hungry. And also i gained muscle from running and dancing. Find a physical activity you love and do it whenever you eat and you wont think about it, and you will figure out when you are really hungry. Hope i helped!

ask yourself if you're really hungryy. and if you aren't sure, wait a half hour and ask yourself again. your bmi is too high right noww.
another thing you could do is use the scale thing. ask yourself on a scale of one to five how hungry you are. one being not hungry and five being starving. you should usually be at a two or three.
hope i helped :]
