Just tell her about it..... she may be hesitant about it because it is new to her.Just ask her to come see you audition so that she can see how great you are at it. Also tell her how much you would appreciate if she would believe in you. No doubt you'll win her support.

just go straight in for it, tell her the good news. make sure to be excited about it when you tell her, that will make her feel better, and take you more seriously. when you tell her, say something like "mom! i can NOT believe it! this is like, my dream, and this is so exciting! can i go? please? this is REALLY important to me! :-)" and when you are telling her, make sure to have the number she can call to get more information, do your research, this will also make her know that you are serious, and that you actually took time to get information.

i would go to your mom and tell her that this is really important to you. tell her that you would really like her support and the rest of the family's
you just have to come right out and say it and tell her how you feel. if it's easier for you, maybe you could right down your thoughts and feelings about the audition in a letter. or gather the whole family in a living room or soemthing and tell them all at once. ask for their support =]

good luck!
