I want to act, I just got a call to go to an open call audition. I havent told my family yet, and i dont know how because i dont think that they will believe in me.
how can i tell them, or atleast my mom ?
orphans answered Friday February 15 2008, 5:35 pm: just go straight in for it, tell her the good news. make sure to be excited about it when you tell her, that will make her feel better, and take you more seriously. when you tell her, say something like "mom! i can NOT believe it! this is like, my dream, and this is so exciting! can i go? please? this is REALLY important to me! :-)" and when you are telling her, make sure to have the number she can call to get more information, do your research, this will also make her know that you are serious, and that you actually took time to get information.

you just have to come right out and say it and tell her how you feel. if it's easier for you, maybe you could right down your thoughts and feelings about the audition in a letter. or gather the whole family in a living room or soemthing and tell them all at once. ask for their support =]
