so, i want to be an actress, and next year, i'll be in high school, and im for sure taking drama. what other steps should i take besides taking drama to help me?

join plays outside of your high school. different theater teachers teach you different things and different techniques. you could look for drama schools or call a local community college and ask about their castings and stuff. i hope that helps. and good luck have fun

I would look at the community where you live and see if there are any opportunities at a community theatre. They often hold open auditions. Check you local city paper.

If the school your going to go to has forensics, DO IT!
Trust me, it's a must to do if you want to be an actress. That's actually what most actors and actress' did in high school.
Forensics is not science. It's public speaking. With different categories. A way to train your skills and enhance in a challenging and fun way. It's competitive, and there are many tournaments for the National Forensiuc Leauge. Google it and Check out there site
