what, basically, is sex?

Im really embarrassed to ask this, but like i know what sex is. I just dint know EVERYTHING about it.
Can someone give me some bullets as to what it is?
An explanation?

well
in my eyes sex is really when
you love a person enough to have vaginal intercourse.
i don't think anal or oral counts as SEX.
and of course, you both have to orgasm at least once.
