Pap smear (pāp)
n. A test for cancer, especially of the female genital tract, in which a smear of exfoliated cells is specially stained and examined under a microscope for pathological changes. Also called Pap test.

It is where you go to your OB/GYN and they open up your vagina, and then they scrape stuff off of your cervics to check for cervical cancer. Its a test that every woman needs to get after being sexually active. It is just a vaginal examination is all.
