Confused
My boyfriend and i decided to break up while he figures some things out. For the time being we are going to be friends. He told me that he Loves me. Then he said that he might get back together and we might not, he's not sure. So I am giving him time, but one day he will be negative about us, and the next he will be positive about us. And I have been trying to give him time and space, and he ims me when I am online. Does anyone have any idea what he could be thinking and why he is sending mixed messages to me?

it could be a few things. maybe he is afraid of commitment, wants to spend more time with friends, wants to be single, is getting bored with the relationship but still really likes you, it could be anything.
but let him live life on his own. let him see how things would be withouttt you in his life. he might be miserable and find out he belongs with you, or he might find its for the best. give it time, and give him space and just wait it out is the best thing for you to do.

Him sending you mixed messages is the reason he broke up with you. He wants to figure things out. I think in order for him to figure things out he's going to have to stop talking to you, and be on his own. That way he'll stop confusing you too.

Well I had this same problem with my girlfriend. She did the same thing to me. It really sucked. But I did the same thing to her a couple of months earlier. And I did it because I was really confused about my feelings and I think he is too. If he still likes you, or loves you, he'll come back to you.

By the sounds of things, you have been incredibly understanding and supportive, probably alot more so than most would be in this situation. Sadly, your boyfriend seems to be taking this for granted by blowing hot and cold. You need to let him know that while you're happy to put effort into working through whatever problems you two are having, you won't wait around forever. Tell him that you need to know if you have a future together. If he carries on this way, it's probably time to walk away.
