Question Posted Wednesday February 6 2008, 7:13 am
Um I haven't been excercising at home due to the overload of work at school and it's a new semester; gym was brutally devastating and it's only been the second day. From when it was over til now when i woke up, my left toes, my stomache, and my whole left arm hurts when I move in any way that could activate it, which is basically just moving. And I turn a lot when I sleep so I know I'm not hungry or something because when I turned, my stomache hurt so bad I was going to cry! And I can't raise my left arm into the air, it only goes as far as elbows and up when I try to lift my arms.
What do you think is the problem and do you know any way that I could fix it?

If you did, you've obviously pushed yourself too hard, and it was a shock to your body because you haven't exercised lately.
The bad thing is, you're going to hurt for a while.
but to prevent it happening again, try to exercise through out the week so it doesn't come as a massive shock to your body - and don't push yourself so hard, especially since you're not used to it. but within time, your body WILL get used to it.
For the pain, just take painkillers if it's that bad. and it'll gradually go within a few days.
If there's that chance where you think it might not be gym related, or if it keeps happening, talk to your doc. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

And that sucks because there's no instant relief =[.
If I were you, I'd take some advil or whatever pain reliever you're used to, and try resting with a hot/cold patch. They can be found at any pharmacy.
I'm a dancer, so when I got a week or two without dancing, and then I start dancing again, I get very sore. And that's how I cure it!
