Volunteering.

Question Posted Tuesday February 5 2008, 2:35 pm

I'm 15/f, I'll be 16 in about 2 weeks.

My friends and I want to volunteer somewhere, but we're not sure where. They're 15/16/17 as well. We were thinking of volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. I wanted to like set up parties for the Super Bowl, birthdays, etc. for the kids. But, for Key Club, we went, and it just seemed like you'd sit at a desk. That's not exactly what we wanted to do.
Anyway, any other ideas of where we could volunteer? We live in Cleveland, Ohio, if that helps.
Thank you :)

You could go to your local elementary schools and offer to read to little kids. Or you could offer to help tutor them in math or science. I'm sure that any elementary school in your area would love you and your friends' help with some things going on in the school.

I help little kids read every week and it is one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. :-)
