SWEETXLOVE answered Monday February 4 2008, 2:25 pm: its all depends on where you go for how much it costs. my family owns a piercing store, and it only costs about $15 for everything, but if you do it somewhere like that, you have to get a stud put in first. and you get it at a tattoo place, my friends have told me it costs about $50. but im sure it will range!
i didnt think it hurts at all. it might sting for like a second and then its over :)
for the pain and soreness. from personal experience it took mine only about two weeks. it definately didnt take a YEAR. my family says 3-7 days about if you wanted to switch your ring.
sometimes stores have things that you can clean it with, ear solution. the thing you DONT WANT TO USE is alcohol. it will dry it out and it will not heal!! you can also put neo sporen.
BeFABULOUSxo answered Monday February 4 2008, 2:19 pm: 1. This is directly from a website I saw while researching this question : "The piercing cost $35 and then the adorable pink double jeweled barbell cost another $35, bringing my total up to $75" I mean, it's not going to be exactly $75 in every case. But it'll probably be around that.
2. I've never gotten it personallly done, but I have quite a few friends who have. They've said that it isnt an unbearable pain but it isnt painless. It really varies from person to person
3.Navel: 4 months to 1 year (Rarely does it take a year though. Thats just like .. worst case senario)
4. This is from a site I found while researching this question:
Wash your hands first with soap and water before touching or cleaning the pierced area. (Don't let anyone else touch the pierced area until it is healed.)
Remove any crusty material from the site and from the jewelry with warm water.
Gently wash the area around the piercing with antibacterial soap (liquid soap works the best).
Gently rinse off all of the soap and crusty discharge.
Gently dry the area with a paper towel or plain white napkin. (Bacteria can stay in cloth towels.)
Do steps 1-5 twice a day until the skin heals. (Over-washing or over-scrubbing can irritate the area.)
Do NOT use antibacterial ointments because they don't allow air to get to the area and they trap bacteria.
