You should tell her that you're sorry for anything and everything you ever did to make her angry at her and then tell her that you're still willing to be her friend and are willing to leave her alone for a bit if it's what she wants. never push the subject but tell her you have something important to tell her.

Okay, I have a friend like that too...actually its scary how much my situation is like yours. But, I learned over the years that she used me as her "punching bag" so to speak. I would put up with her shit and let her be mad at me, and I would do everything to make her stop bitching, but she just wouldn't quit it. So, what I wound up doing was not putting up with her shit anymore. When she would be mean to me I would either be mean right back or just shake my head and tell her that she was being immature. And when I saw her around everyone else, she just acted like another person! It was like she was two faced, and it pissed me off. So, I just talked to her about it, told her I wasn't gonna put up with her abuse anymore, and that if she was gonna act like this, she would lose a friend. and thats when she just stopped all of that, I think people like that get carried away with you because they have known us for a while and think that we will put up with all of that bitchyness, but we have to stand up for ourselves and say stop. And that's exactly what you should do. She needs a wake up call, and I hope you are the person to do it. yuh know?
Good luck, and I know how much that sucks :[
