im 16/f, im 5'1 and i weigh a little more than 120 lbs.
The thing is that since i was 12 I've taught myself how to suck in my stomach and now i do it naturally.
Anyways, because my tummy fat doesn't show, people tell me im skinny but i know i have belly fat and im gaining weight
Its because people are always saying im skinny and some even said that i could be annorexic(im not, i eat normal and don't think im that fat) that i have trouble loosing weight.
so what can i do to make myself not be innfluenced by those people and how can i make myself remmeber that i am gaining weight and im not that skinny.

I realized one day over the summer when i went to a pool party, that everyone is completely different. I was so scared to take my shirt off because i thought that i had more "flubber" haha then everyone else. Once i saw how they were all different, and the boys didnt even care...i had a better time. I know its easy to get influenced by other people, but just know that theyre not the ones that are in your body, only you see yourself everyday.
Join a sport...i play volleyball (all year round now...but you dont have to play all year round sport) and just stay active. It sounds like you are a normal, healthy girl though.
Do crunches and pushups at night...TRUST me...watch some tv while you are doing them, do ten sets of ten, take brakes.
Instead of diving into sweats and chocolate at night (what i do ahaha) go to the fruit and...vegies...stick with fruit...unless you like peppers and stuff. If you do not have enough fruit...ask your parents to buy more healthy things than "junk" Its good to keep like grapes and stuff pre washed and set on your counter in a bowl...this way you can just get something healthy, small, and easy to eat.
More variety of healthy foods, means less eating that other stuff. Think about it...if you have an apple in your refrigerator...and TONS of chocolate and candy and rice crispy treats, what are the odds of you going for the apple? For me personally...not much. But if you have apples, bananas, necterines, mangos, grapes, etc, and a chocolate cookie...the chances of going for the chocolate cookie is less.

In my -very limited- knowledge of age, height, and weight ratios, you're probably about normal weight.
If you don't think you're fat, and you know you're not anorexic, then you shouldn't have any trouble not being influenced by people saying you're skinny. Models are horridly skinny most of the time, and I can't imagine you manage that look by sucking your stomach in. Second of all, why do/did you need to suck your stomach in in the first place?
Habits are difficult to break, but perhaps if it makes you look too skinny, you should try to let your stomach out whenever you remember it.
If somebody says you're too skinny, it will remind you, and you can relax your stomach, and they will probably take it back.
