Question Posted Thursday January 17 2008, 10:40 pm
I started taking birth control about a month ago on the 17th of December. My boyfriend came inside me twice in one night after only being on the YAZ birth control pill for about a week and a half. acording to my birth control package, I should have started my period yesterday. I did not start yesterday and today I have just had brown spotting when I wipe and cramps. I am so scared. I don't want to be pregnant. Do you think I am? Someone help.

I didn't start my period on the first month until the last white pill. For the first few months your period will be completely wacked up. I wouldn't worry to much, even if you don't have a period. In the packet you got, it should somewhere say that it's normal not to have a period the first month, but if you still don't have one the second month, take a pregnancy test.

The brown stuff means you ARE getting ready to start your period, and cramps also come when you are about to get your period, so you probably aren't pregnant. But if you really don't want to get pregnant id be careful from now on and NEVER forget to take any of your pills, because i'm now pregnant because of that.

The pill changes your periods with hormones, and you are probably young for having completely regular periods anyway, so your period is probably just irregular. Don't worry.
