okay. so i just got my period and it's likeeeeee whatever. ANYWAYS. i'm using a tampon. it's tampax sportttt but i keep leaking. like i have to wear a pad w. my tampon. weird. i know i'm putting it up high enough, but idk. should i do something before or after i put it in? is it a bad brand?

You can try a stronger absorbency. Although, you may find at the start of your period you need both a tampon and a pad. That's not unusual. But if you've just started getting your period, you should go to a GYN to have a checkup. Some women bleed more heavily than others, but heavy bleeding can be treated.

okie i think the problem for the tampex sports are that they're tiny so they wont hold as much because some of my friends wear those and they always leak so maybe get like te regular ones instead of the sport

Some time when you have your period you bleed heavily for the first few days. To solve your problem try buying a super tampon or just stepping up a level.
