Dying my hair

Question Posted Tuesday January 15 2008, 11:28 pm

17/f. I want to colour my hair with something that won't last for too long. I know where I can get those products.
But I'm not sure how to apply it.
I have a sort of scene/mulletish haircut and I'm not sure where to put the colours in my hair.
Can anyone help?

xx

Additional info, added Wednesday January 16 2008, 6:23 pm:
I want bright coloured streaks or little bits at the tips of my hair and bangs. I don't want to colour my whole hair because I dye my hair once a month anyway. It is naturally blonde and I dye it black..

I dye my hair at least once a month lol. So yeah, you deffently have to get a friend to make sure you get it everywhere evenly. I always start at the roots, cause thats the most important, then get everywhere else. but you have to have order with it, not just do as you please and jump around. When you're done putting it in, get a comb, and comb it through to make it more even. Oh and, when you put the dye in, it might make your hair more knotty, just a warning for when you brush it through. lol.

You want to make it even looking on each side. I would first divide you hair by using either clips, pony tails, or even bobby pins. You want to start from the bottom then work your way up that way it doesn't smear. Put three or four streaks with the same amount of distance between on each layer. Work you way to the top and then work on the other side. Have a friend put some treaks in the back because if you do that part by yourself you won't be able to see what you are doing.
