healthy breakfasts

Question Posted Tuesday January 15 2008, 9:24 pm

Ok so in two days we have EQAO and then next week we have exams. I'm looking for nutritional breakfasts that are pretty big that I can eat for those days to increase some brain capacity and is hopefully not indigestable. THanks

You want to eat some sort of protein, for long-term energy. I don't eat big breakfasts, I hardly eat breakfast at all, so something I would try would be a bagel, with some cream cheese, and some meat, my personal preference being salami, or turkey. You also want carbs for short-term energy, that's why I suggested a bagel. I reccommend instead of eating large meals, it's healthier to eat several snacks throughout the day. Maybe between tests have a handful of almonds and some water. Protein is really good on test days I've found. You would be fine with just about anything. Hope I helped. Good luck. -Angel

ok, well here are some things to consider when you are thinking about eating a breakfast on a test day

-don't eat such a big breakfast (i.e. if you normally don't eat anything, then eat very little, stay to what you normally do)
-don't eat anything fatty or greasy!
-don't have caffine!
-eat your breakfast slowly!

Try eating a big plate of eggs, toast with jam, orange juice and maybe some cereal. This may help. Hope I helped!
