A satire is basically making fun of anything that you think is wrong in the world, that others think is right. Like, say you hate the government. You make fun of them, making them make stupid calls, hiding ridiculous things, etc. Your simply take something that you can easily make fun with and change it up. Use over exaggeration, make things that form irony and oxymorons and super imaginative values. If you need help figuring out what I mean, watch things on Comedy Central. Like the Colbert Report or the Daily Show. South Park is a good one too. And so is Mad TV, those are all Satires.

I didn't really want to answer this question, I just wanted to let you know that the answer below is not an example of satire. Which I also do not feel like defining. But a great example is George Orwell's Animal Farm. Great great great. Writing is personal, let it be your idea, get inspiration from current events etc.

did you read the writng by umm john donne (i think) about Irelands problem? cause we read that in english
anyways, umm so satire is the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, right so
im just tossing around some ideas here
heres a prob/situation
-kids dont listen to parents, so write about how if all the parents were gone, the world will be a "better" place there will be no work, no one will wash dishes, no one will collect garbage and everyone will not take baths.
the satire in this be be that with out the parents telling kids what to do, nothing will get done and it will reak havic
sorry if thats dumb but thats all i came up with
the irony of this would be that while kids complain about work without parents we would never get it done and while you would think that we would be better off without parents, we would actaully be worse
