There are no free products out there that work. Trust me, I tried them all. Unless your "movie" is under 5 minutes long, you're not going to get a full movie with full audio anywhere. I downloaded over 10 programs and tried them all-- nothing.

I got this program as a gift for Christmas that works really well-- Cucusoft Video Converter + DVD to iPod Converter Suite. 40 bucks, but easy and fairly fast to work.

Once you download it onto your computer, all you do is open it, put your DVD into the CD drive, locate the file on your computer, click a button, and the movie starts to download itself. It goes at about a 2:3 speed; for every 2 seconds in the movie is 3 seconds in real time. So if you have an hour and a half movie, its gonna take you about an hour for the movie to process. (Internet goes slowly, but Word moves at regular speed.) After that, a box pops up and you just drag'n'drop the file to the Movies section of iTunes. Very simple.

I hope it works for you, good luck.

Its because the type of file your trying to put on your touch is wrong. GO find a website that lets you download a program that converts movie files into .MP4 files. Then you should be able to watch movies. Of course, this is a guess that the touch uses the same files as a fifth gen classic...
