We have to know our IQ for a course I am taking and I was wondering... Where can I take an actual IQ test online?

Alin75 answered Saturday January 12 2008, 10:05 am: There is a further problem with taking the tests online. There are different scaling methods, so a score of say 120 on one test is not neccessarily the same as 120 on another. Be very careful with this since it can be misleading. The test you take must either tell you its scoring method, or it must inform you of your score's percentile (which is directly comparable to other tests).
Overall I have found online IQ tests to vary from somewhat decent to totally idiotic. Sometimes one may look decent enough and then suddenly begin to ask questions like "what is the capital of Mongolia?" Or it will start testing your memmory (neither of which has anything to do with IQ).
Ok after much research I have found one that most closely approximates the mensa test. Phew, that was like digging for gold.
The test is on a Danish site, but you can select English once you click on it and select the test. Pick the test that says "IQ test 40 min" in the middle of the page (do not take the "mensa test" as that is just for fun it seems).
I am proud to say that this test also informs you of the deviation used (on the page where your results are given). That means that you can use it to compare to other similar IQ tests, and/ or convert it to another scale.
