Although intercourse did initially hurt when my boyfriend and I first became active, it is far less painful now and actually feels good. So I'm alright with the intercourse but when he tries to finger me, it's painful. I'm just perplexed as to why two fingers hurts more than intercourse. His package is wider than two fingers so I don't understand. He thought he needed to clip his fingernails but they are quite trimmed and neat when he does it. Plus, it isn't that kind of pain. Any thoughts?

Also, two fingers is usually thinner on one side and thicker on another, as two fingers are the same height but double the length. He might be stretching you in a direction a bit further than you're used to. [ WittyUsernameHere's advice column | Ask WittyUsernameHere A Question ]

First, he could be inserting his digits incorrectly making it more uncomfortable than his penis. His penis doesn't have a bone in it *strangely enough, given one of it's "nicknames"*, so it doesn't have that working against it. When his finger bones hit your pelvic bone, it can be a painful experience. Work around at new positioning of his fingers to see if it works better one way than another.
Also, he could be doing it when it's not wet enough to work comfortably. Try using a lubricant or more foreplay first.
