layered hair
For the past 3 attempts at the hair salon, I have SPECIFICALLY asked for layers in the back. What do I get? The bottom half of it razored and the top half not touched at all. My hair is 2 inches past my shoulders, and I want it to be visibly layered in the back [zigzaggy, different lengths, ect.] so that it looks pretty when it is straightened. I have already tried Google, and am not getting the pictures that I need. My friend, Erica, got her hair cut the way I want it and I asked her what she did. She said that she 'asked for bangs in the back' but that pretty much made no sense at all.

b] Description for stylist

Haha, I know the feeling. Same thing happened to me. Say you want long AND short layers - everywhere - to give it a choppy effect.
They'll then ask you how short you want the shortest layers etc.

I'm not saying these pics are the same as what you want, but they should help the stylist understand the layer part.
There's lots on google if you try wording it differently.
